Reflections and Future Plans
Favorite Memories at West My favorite memories in Public Safety was being part of the Honor Guard.  It helped me learn patients, understanding and leadership. Everyone in Honor Guard had everyone’s back and we learned what it means to be a family.
Favorite Skill/s Learned in Academy My favorite physical skill that I learned in Public Safety is handcuffing. Also, we learned a lot of criminal statutes, how do you identify crimes, and about the court system.
Future Plans  After high school I am going to the YMCA of the Rockies in Colorado. I will be there for four months. After the YMCA experience, I am planning on going to the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. Then I will apply for and become a Law Enforcement officer.
Advice for Incoming
Academy Students
My advice for the incoming class is to always turn your homework in on time. Also, do not  wait until the last minute to do your projects or assignments. Have fun but listen to the teacher for instructions. Additionally, make the most of the four years you are in high school because it will go by fast. Show leadership not just in Public Safety but all around the school. Remember, you represent the Public Safety Academy everyday. Public Safety students are definitely held to a higher standard!
