The Pollinator Prairie is hosting a FREE family-friendly event on June 22, 9am-2pm at 320 S. Blake St. in Olathe. The even is open to the public at the garden in Olathe in conjunction with National Pollinator Week. Activities include: Caterpillar Petting Zoo, Bat Exhibit, Caterpillar and Butterfly Exhibits, Bird of Pray Exhibit, Native Bees vs Honey Bees, Building Native Bee Houses, Bringing Nature Home, “Get Your Fingers in the Dirt,” Arts and Crafts, and much more.

A 5-mile walk benefiting the ministries of Mission Southside is planned for Saturday, April 28. The goal is for each participant or family to raise $100 from dollars-per-mile pledges. The Olathe Fire Department invites all area children to bring their bikes to the annual Olathe Helmet Head Bike Rodeo April 29, 11 am-3pm at the Olathe Medical Center campus. Those Left Behind is a support group to help connect high school and college age survivors left behind after the loss of a family member to suicide.
