This morning, Olathe Public Schools Foundation board members who are also members of the Women’s Giving Circle presented a $10,000 check to Jeremi Wonch and Meg Richard for their project, ‘Fire’. This grant was made possible by 100 women interested in making a difference for Olathe teachers and students during the Women’s Giving Circle held on October 22nd at TVH Parts Co. Below is a letter from Meg Richard and Jeremi Wonch:
"Dear Ladies of the Olathe Women’s Giving Circle,
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The words seem feeble when describing the impact we are going to be able to achieve in our classrooms due to your generosity! You are making a difference, you are making things possible, and you are changing lives! We truly believe that your gifts will serve as a catalyst sparking a fire in our students' interest in STEM. We never would have dreamed that this level of collaboration and real-world science exploration would be possible for our students and you are making this dream, and surely many more come true.
Thank you for believing in us and in our students and thank you so much for your gifts.
    Meg Richard and Jeremi Wonch"
