Mr. Jason Herman



Jason Herman joined ONHS as the Athletic Director and assistant principal for the 2009-10 school year. During the 2008-09 school year, he was an assistant principal at Pioneer Trail Junior High School. Prior to that, Jason taught social sciences at Olathe North for nine years. During his tenure at North, Jason was the head baseball coach from 2003-08 and an assistant football coach from 2000-2007. He also assisted with Junior Class in 1999-2000.

Prior to coming to Kansas, Jason played baseball and graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona where he was born and raised. He earned his undergraduate degree (BS in Education) in 1998 at Emporia State University where he played and coached baseball. He earned his Masters Degree (MA in School in Leadership) in 2007 at Baker University.

Mr. Pat Carmody


Assistant Principal ( R-Z)


Pat Carmody has been at ONHS since 1999 as the assistant principal in charge of facilities and operations. Prior to coming to North, he worked in the Turner School District for eighteen years, one as a high school assistant principal, and seventeen as a physical education teacher. During his tenure at Turner, Pat was a head wrestling coach, (1981-95), and head football coach, (1984-87). He also assisted with football for ten years.

Prior to coming to Kansas, Pat taught and coached for one year at Southfield Lathrup High School, In Southfield MI. Pat earned his undergraduate degree (BS in Education) in 1979 at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He earned his Masters Degree (MS in Educational Administration) in 1990 at Emporia State University, Emporia KS.

Mrs. Jennifer Noteboom


Assistant Principal (A-D)


Jennifer graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota with her undergrad in FACS in 2001.  She worked at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado as a FACS teacher for 5 years.  In 2006 Jennifer moved to Olathe, Kansas to be a FACS teacher at Frontier Trail Junior High School for one year. During this time she received her Master’s in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix and in 2007 started working at Olathe Northwest as a counselor and was there 7 years.  Jennifer received her Master’s degree in School leadership from KU and in 2014 started working at Olathe East where she was an Assistant Principal for two years.  Jennifer will join the Olathe North Administration for the 2016-2017 school year.

In her time away from school, she spends time with her husband Josh and daughters Emma and Olivia.

Mr. Josh Price


Assistant Principal | Athletic Director (E-K)

Josh Price will be an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director beginning the summer 2016.  Josh first came to Olathe North in 2005, and was a member of the math department for 10 years.  In 2015/16 he served as a liaison for both the administrative and counseling teams.  During his tenure at Olathe North, he was the head Girls Basketball coach (2008-2013), an assistant coach for the Boys Basketball team (2005-2008) as well as the Football team (2006-2008).  He also was the Building Leadership Team Chair (2013-2016).  Mr. Price began his career at Chisholm Trail Junior High school where he taught math and was a coach (2002-2005).

Mr. Price was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas where he graduated from Seaman High School in 1997.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Kansas State University in 2001 after student teaching at Olathe North.  He continued his educational path at Baker University where he earned his Master’s Degree in School Leadership in 2007.

When not at school, Josh spends most of his time with his wife Sara and two sons Hayden (3) and Bentley (1).

Mrs. Heather Smith


Assistant Principal (L-Q)


Heather Smith joined ONHS in 2009-10 as the Special Education Administrator who works with Cheer and Drill. Previously she has been an Assistant Principal at Olathe South and Olathe Northwest, and a Principal at Santa Fe Trail junior high, and in a district position as coordinator of Bilingual Student Services. She also served as an Assistant Principal in Tampa, FL. Before coming to Olathe, she was a Spanish teacher in Kansas City, MO and Blue Valley.

Mrs. Heather Smith earned her Master’s degree from KU and her Bachelor’s from MNU.

Officer Jeff Jewett



Graduated from the University of North Texas  and worked for the Dallas P.D. before moving to Olathe. Jeff has worked for the Olathe P. D. for 23 years and spent 14 years as the SRO at Olathe East. Jeff is married and has three kids who have gone through the Olathe School District.
