Ravens slide past Lawrence

The baseball team traveled on the road to Lawrence High School last night, after being rained out on Tuesday. Senior Nick Hegarty started on the hill for the Ravens. A slow game that went back and forth ended up in the Ravens favor, as Nate Niceswanger finished the night with three hits. Hegarty took the win as the Ravens survive against the Chesty Lions 7-5. The Ravens improve to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Sunflower League.

The team will play a double-header tonight with their first game at 4:15pm against Shawnee Mission East. Drake Seetin will be on the mound for the Ravens coming off a 5 1/3 inning, 2 earned run outing. Their second game will be moved up from Saturday against Shawnee Mission Northwest due to the inclement weather for the weekend, as Kyle Shiever will start on the bump in that one. That game will start at approximately 7:00pm.

The Ravens are looking to move up to the top in the Sunflower League Standings as they trail only Blue Valley High School in the East Regional.
