|About:||This is the 21st year that the First Freedom Center has offered this national essay and video contest. It offers 9th-12th grade students an opportunity to compete for awards as they examine the history and implementation of freedom of religion and conscience in American democracy and the world today. Submission may be in written or video form.|
|Amount:||Two awards of $2,500 (One for written/One for video)|
|Eligibility Requirements:||Open to students in the US attending 9th-12th grade.To Qualify, Applicants MUST Comply with ALL requirements.This year’s topic is global, asking students to write about international religious freedom. The task will be to challenge analytic skills and requires assessment of current-day events in terms of international human rights and history.
The web site provides the topic, guidelines, registration, as well as a resource manual and a 15-minute video about international religious freedom.
