Industrial Technology Courses

TechEd Modules 6
This course provides an opportunity for students to explore and develop an awareness of modern technology and related career opportunities. Students are given the opportunity to study aerodynamics, drafting, plastics, alternate energy, engineering, weather, communications, transportation and develop safety habits using appropriate tools for each area. Students complete projects in each area.

Explorations in Technology
This course is an excellent introduction for all students into the wide variety of careers in technology. Students have the opportunity to explore areas such as video production, electronics/electricity, creative solutions, plastics, robotics, lasers and lights, computer-aided drafting, simple machines, digital design, computer graphics and animation, engineering bridges, digital manufacturing and practical solutions and home repair. Students complete various projects in each area.

Intro to Materials & Processes
This course is designed for eighth grade students with an interest in woods, metals, plastics, and related technologies. After an introduction involving drafting, machine and shop safety, students fabricate (a) project(s) using basic drawing and equipment.
