Students in the eAcademy are expected to complete all assigned coursework as set by the course instructor and to adhere to the course syllabus including deadlines. It may be necessary to come in to the eAcademy office on a few occasions to pick up texts or other materials. All mid-term and final exams are taken in the eAcademy office by the enrolled student.

Students and parents are required to complete an online Orientation and electronically verify a Code of Student Conduct and Parent Contract indicating that they understand the expectations and procedures of the eAcademy, including the Probationary Admissions and plagiarism policies.

Students are to adhere to a code of academic honesty, and plagiarism is considered grounds for assignment or course failure, and suspension or expulsion from the program.

Students should be aware that online courses are NOT easier than being in the classroom. Due to the time it takes to communicate by reading instructions, typing discussions and assignments, etc, students should expect at least one hour per day at the computer, per course, and possible homework time beyond the time online.

Students must have prerequisite computer skills including email use, file management, creating Office files such as Word documents, PowerPoint, text files, etc. Documents are often posted or sent in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. (See Course Tools) It may be necessary to install software (sometimes temporarily) on your computer in order to complete a course. Additional course software (other than Office software) is either provided as part of the course, or may be downloaded for free from links provided by the eAcademy or instructors.

Students are required to use their student (school) email account for all correspondence with other students, instructors, and eAcademy.

Tech support files for students and parents are located on the Course Tools page.
