Are you ready to see what your student does in P.E.? Mark your calendars, wear your tennis shoes and join us for this fun event with your grade 4 student!

P.E. Update

The kids have officially graduated from the Hampton-Keely Dance Academy ! We had graduation ceremonies and everything. We really enjoyed watching the students express themselves through dance. Ask them to teach you a new dance they learned! We are moving on to volleyball and bowling this month in PE.

Kid Fit Club - KFC

There is still time to sign up for our fitness club! Please sign a permission slip in order for your student to participate.

The club will meet once a week for one hour (see brochure for schedules).  Please sign a permission slip in order for your student to participate.

Athlete of the Week

Has your student completed an Athlete of the Week form yet this year? If not, please do so! We need more to finish out the year. You can find the form by clicking here.

Hershey's Track and Field challenge on May 31st

Students ages 9-14 are invited to compete here in Olathe .  Last year we had ML students compete and make it to the state competition!  Nationals are held in Hershey , PA.   Go to the website for more information www.hersheystrackandfield.com

P.E. Update

Ask your student about PE class! Here are some starter questions:

• What have you done lately in PE (sports, games, etc)?
• Why is it important to have PE class?
• Name one important thing you've learned in PE this year.

Reminder: Please wear tennis shoes on PE days!

PE Class Reminders:

•  Don't forget your tennis shoes on P.E. days! It's not safe for students and participation will be limited. (tennis shoe schedule by class)

•  Please send a note from the doctor if your student is sick or injured and not able to participate fully in P.E.

•  Try to send shorts if your student wears a dress on P.E. day.

•  Feel free to visit your student's P.E. class at any time! We enjoy visitors to show-off our skills!

Students in Physical Education...

• will enter the gym correctly (on task and in control)
• will follow the Olathe Student Guiding Principles (honesty, respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness) during all activities
• will wear tennis shoes (tennis shoe schedule by class)
• will be ready to explain one "learning moment" from the class
• will exit the gym correctly (on task and in control)
