Olathe North, the oldest of the four high schools in Olathe, Kansas was founded in 1883 as Olathe High School. The school moved
to its current location in 1958 and changed it's name to Olathe North High School in 1981.

- Olathe North was the original high school of the Olathe School District.
- Olathe North Class of 2007 had one student who achieved a perfect ACT score.
- Olathe North averages at least two National Merit Semifinalists each school year.
- Olathe District’s 21st Century Culinary Program, housed at Olathe North, has won the state ProStart Culinary competition for the past three years.
- Olathe North has won SEVEN State Football Championships.
- Ten Olathe North graduates have returned to teach at Olathe North High School.
- Over the past two years, Olathe North graduates have been offered over $10,000,000. in scholarships.
- Over 80% of Olathe North’s faculty have advanced degrees.
- Olathe North earned the Kansas State Standard of Excellence recognition for achievement on state assessments in reading, math, and writing in 2005/2006 and 2006/2007.
