The Eaglette Dance / Drill Team is a select group of students who promote school spirit and unity through their attitude and expression of dance.  Their season begins in April for the following school year.  The girls make their debut as a team at NDA Dance Camp in early June.  Late summer and fall the girls prove to be an invaluable asset to the Eagle Marching Band, creating a masterful field show.  The girls then go on to perform in several local Dance Festivals as well as perform throughout the basketball season.  The end of the Eaglette’s season is marked with a finale of their talents at the Eaglette Extravaganza.  Then it starts all over again.  Not only do the girls involve themselves in striving to become a better dance team, but the Eaglettes are also a group that contributes to the school and the community.  Tryouts for the team usually occur in March.

Eaglettes at Nationals in Orlando, FL
National Competition in Orlando, FL - March 2010

The Eaglettes were FABULOUS at NDA Nationals in Orlando, FL on March 6-7. They represented Olathe North in the most incredible fashion. We made it to finals for BOTH our jazz and pom routines which was the first time to make it to finals in pom. They placed 7th in medium jazz and 8th in medium varsity pom...in the nation! This is quite the accomplishment considering a majority of our girls do not have much, if any dance training! It's all from hard work. We are so proud! They also had some of the best sportsmanship at the competition and were definitely a class act!

Congratulations Eaglettes (AND Eagle Men)
Time to get ready for NDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida which will be the first week of March!  :)
