Pioneer Trail's student population is approximately 680 students.

School History
Pioneer Trail Junior High opened in August of 1986.  Located at 127th and Black Bob, Pioneer Trail serves a diverse population.

The school mascot is the panther and the school colors are black and red.

Pioneer Trail offers a variety of clubs, service organizations, activities and competitions to enhance the junior high experience.  Pep Club, Drama Club, Foreign Language Club, Student Council, KAYS, Lettermen's Club, student publications: Newspaper and Yearbook, Peer Mediation, Drill Team, Cheerleading, athletics, Weightlifting, music competitions, the Honor Roll Program, MathCounts, Science Olympiad and Battle of the Books are all activities which appeal to a wide variety of students.
